Wendy's Visit...33921

Boca Grande is ranked 127 on the list of America's top 500 most expensive zip codes.  It is located on Gasparilla Island and you can read more about it on Wikipedia or in an earlier blog post here

We started the day by loading up on veggies at the farmer's market
then enjoyed coffee on the swing overlooking the marina on the Peace River.
From there we headed north to spend some time on the sand in the sun.  We stopped at a small deli in Boca Granda and bought sandwiches and drinks.

We were immediately assaulted by the rude, arrogant behavior of other patrons in the store.  There was a sense of "I'm better and a lot more important that you, just a lowly sandwich maker and ice cream scooper."  We couldn't get out of there fast enough.

We drove to the end of the island where there is a picnic area, lighthouse and museum and beautiful white sand beach.

Picture perfect day
Wendy and I changed into our suits, slathered ourselves in sunscreen and the three of us settled in for a couple hours of uber relaxation.
Two of my favorite people
Happy feet on a beach made of shells
Water cool enough to cool me off but not so cool it freezes my feet
We had a full day but there's still three more days...stay tuned...

Thanks for stopping by...
