On The Road Again, Day One

The news indicated is was -11 degrees when we got up at 6:00 this morning.  It had warmed up to -3 by the time we left McD after a quick breakfast.  We were on the road by 8:40, a little later than last year.  We stopped a couple of times for gas and ate lunch in Newburgh, NY.  Ever wonder what I see while we are traveling south?  Sometimes it all looks the same...

and sometimes there is something interesting...

We stopped before sunset to use the bathroom and walk the dog.  It had warmed up to around 34*, which felt balmy and there was grass!

We had the only dog in sight ;o)
I don't think I'm the first one here.
Sunset in PA around 5:15
We stopped again in Greencastle, PA for gas and something to eat.

There are quite a few interesting places between Sanford, ME and Winchester, VA.  For example, my favorite is Fishkill, NY, not to be confused with Peekskill, Plattekill or Bushkill.  Then there's Wappingers Falls, Promised Land State Park, Crystal Lake, Sugar Notch and Falling Waters.  Brings a number of different pictures to mind, doesn't it?

And that's day one.

Thanks for stopping by...
;o)
