Eagles and Horses

We went to visit the eagles today.  The "babies" are 75 days old and will be fledging soon.  Before then, however, they are big enough for us to see them above the rim of the nest, especially with a good pair of binoculars.

Obviously easier to see if you can enlarge it.

One of the babies was nice enough to show off a little for us, wingersizing...exercising his wings and building up strength.

I've been watching this next in Ft. Myers for years now and there is nothing better than seeing it in person.  They are so much larger and more majestic than on the computer.

The nest tree shares it's space with several resident horses.  The white one came over to the fence to say hello and hung out for awhile, but I didn't get any pictures.  One of the others stopped nearby for a nice dirt bath.

Must feel good!

Thanks for stopping by...

;o)
