Raised Bed Garden

Bill decided to grow some veggies this summer so he put together a raised bed using some leftover lumber.

We put it in what we hope is an area of the yard that gets sufficient sunlight, which it does today because the trees haven't leafed out yet.

We added some loam that we had delivered from Gray Farm nursery in Wells and we bought new tomato cages from Ocean State Job Lots.  The cages were $3 each and I sold about ten of them a few years ago for $5.

And finally, Bill planted six Beefsteak and three cherry tomatoes and six bell pepper plants.

I planted the remaining three cherry tomatoes in my flower gardens and planted two cucumber plants in pots on the deck.

Thanks for stopping by...
