Life with Lilli

I don't think I have done any work on Lilli since August and I thought that I would get a lot done since we came home early and the weather would be crappy but that hasn't been the case.

No big deal, I spent some time with her today.  This is a small new piece I'm working on
and these are a couple of ideas I have for when I quilt in some squares.
These are just some practice doodles.
Lotus flowers
My first Baptist Fan using the ruler Bill gave me for Christmas
Bill and Greg gave me some gift cards to Sanford Sewing and I bought myself some new rulers.
The light strip was exchanged for the light bar Bill gave me for Christmas, which was what I asked for but not what I actually wanted.

Making Masks...Because That's What Everyone is Doing!!!

Thanks to this damn pandemic, everyone and their brother is making face masks.  The CDC has made the recommendation that when going out in public, which they suggest you don't do at this point in time, you wear a mask to cover your mouth and nose.

Bill and I bought N95 masks back in February but Wendy asked if I would make masks for them, especially Dan since he is doing most of the grocery shopping.  Not a problem!  I found a video on YouTube...5 minute mask.  HA!  The first one took me most of the afternoon.

I made two for each of them.  This is my first one, for Dan.
I didn't take a picture of the back but it was bees.
Wendy sent these two to Ray and Cecile in TX so they would each have a mask.
This is, quite possibly, the only time they will wear them ;o)

Then I made Wendy and Dan another one,
(Same masks, front and back)
made one for Greg and Ella, forgot to take pictures ;o(
and made one for each of us.
(Same masks, front and back)
Then I ran out of elastic and it's impossible to buy more.

Some of the people I follow on Instagram have made hundreds of them.  Hundreds!  Seriously?  Ten was more than enough for me, I was happy to run out of elastic ;o)  However, Wendy has some if I really need some.

Thanks for stopping by...  stay well!
